I listen to the gentle murmuring voice
Of our city, awake despite the hour
And I linger, unwilling to return

A Moral Judgement

I have been hearing the stories of the pharmacists who will not fill prescritions for women on birth control pills.
The women take their scripts in and sometimes the pharmacist will even take the script off them and not give it back!! Im not sure if its happening all over the country or mostly in Texas where Ive heard about it.
They even lecture the women and embarras them in front of other customers.
This is a disgusting infringement on privacy. If a doctor prescribes medication, who does the pharmacist think he his to not follow a docs orders?
Moral judgement does not belong in medicine.

Wow. Are they really doing that?

It's not just an infringement on privacy, I think it's illegal. Isn't it???

I don't think the pharmacist has any right to withhold the script, let alone confiscate it. Surely people are taking some kind of action against this illegal act??

What a crock!! I hope someone sues the pants of those ....... !! Hopefully, some of these women are giving the pharmacists a piece of their minds. I wonder if they are only doing to young women and/or teenage girls. Again, not their business.

Nope its not illegal here.If they are catholic(which they are) they can use their religion as a basis to refuse to fill a script. The whole religion thing is going haywire over here. They take out the ten commandments from courthouses because the liberals dont like it.They are so afraid of offending people yet the very ones who need to be protected are not being cared for.Its the moral majority. Its very confusing even after Ive lived here for 3 yrs!!
They have a big right to life issue dominating this country and forget about the right for the individual to choose.Thats why they kept poor Terri Schiavo on a feeding tube for 15 yrs even tho she always said she didnt want it..I dont know why they call this country *the home of the free*
